Ahmed Quadri cracks century in Hyderabad Cricket Association's top division league
Hyderabad: Syed Ahmed Quadri slammed a century to emerge the top performer in the Hyderabad Cricket Association’s top division league action here on Thursday. Quadri struck 14 boundaries and two sixes in his 130-ball 102 before bowling his off-spinners to take 3 for 11 as he scripted State Bank of Hyderabad’s innings and 179-run victory over Continental in their three-day match.
SBH were too strong, packing Continental for 87 and 83 despite losing the entire second day to rain. Prince Ojha was the other centurion. The right-hand bat scored 108 with the help of 13 fours and three sixes as HBCC declared at 184 for 8 in their two-day match against Saleemnagar. Mohammed Aabid and Murtuza Ahmed were among the wickets. Left-arm spinner Aabid took 6 for 25 as Balaji Colts bundled out Deccan Blues for 125 while Murtuza snared 5 for 61 as Green Turf bowled Aggarwal Senior for 117 in their Plate division two-day games.
