Andhra, Bengal, Railways victors

In another match Baroda defeated Maharashtra by 18 runs.

Hyderabad: Bengal, Baroda, Railways and Andhra won their first round matches in the BCCI Senior Women T20 Super League-cum-Knockout tournament at the Dr Gokaraju Laila Gangaraju ACA Cricket Complex in Mulapadu near Vijayawada.

Rumeli Dhar hit 52 to help Bengal post 133 for 4 in 20 overs. In reply, Karnataka were bowled out for a paltry 77 in 17.3 overs.

In another match Baroda defeated Maharashtra by 18 runs. Baroda chalked up 120 for 6 and then limited Maharashtra to 102 for 6 in 20 overs.

In a rain curtailed match, Muzhat of Railways hit 74 not out as her team put up 129 for 1 in their stipulated 12 overs. In reply, Jharkhand could only manage 58 for 7.

In another match shortened due to rains, Andhra defeated Vidarbha by five wickets. Chasing 94 to win, Andhra replied made 98 for 5 riding on Sudha Rani’s crucial knock of an unbeaten 30.
