India vs Windies Tests: Harbhajan Singh slams selectors over Rohit Sharma omission

The first Test will be held at Rajkot from October 4, whereas the second Test will commence from October 12 at Hyderabad.

Mumbai: Former India cricketer Harbhajan Singh on Sunday was left surprised on Rohit Sharma’s omission from India’s Test squad to face West Indies starting on Thursday.

Rohit, who last played a Test against South Africa in January, led a Virat Kohli-less Team India to their seventh Asia Cup victory with a thrilling three-wicket win against Bangladesh on Friday.

The 38-year-old took to Twitter and wrote, "No @ImRo45 in test team against West Indies..what r the selectors thinking actually??? Anyone have a clue ??? plz let me know as I can’t digest this.”

Virat Kohli, who was rested for the Asia Cup, returns to lead the side in the two Tests against the Caribbean while the uncapped Mayank Agarwal was called up to the side.

The first Test will be held at Rajkot from October 4, whereas the second Test will commence from October 12 at Hyderabad.
