Lalith, Maneesh, Mallik, Tanay and Sudhakar shine in top league games
Hyderabad: B. Sudhakar, P. Maneesh, Tanay Tyagarajan and A. Lalith Mohan dominated with the ball while J. Mallikarjun had a run feast in the A-1 Division Three-Day League Championship matches played on Tuesday.
Sudhakar scalped five wickets while conceding 47 runs for SCRSA playing against EMCC, who were bundled out for 137 in 45.1 overs. In reply, SCRSA were 93/4 in 37 overs.
Maneesh bowled a tidy spell for Gemini Friends claiming seven wickets while conceding just 47 runs. Gemini were all out for 135 in 55.1 overs while Evergreen were set for the first innings lead, having reached 121/4 by close of play.
Left-arm spinner Tanay claimed six wickets for Sporting XI while giving away 105 runs as SBI were all out for 355 in 89.1.
Lalith proved his worth for Continental, dismissing seven Hyderabad Bottling batsmen as he conceded just 41 runs. Bottling were all out for 197 in 61 overs.
On a day of bowlers, right-hand batsman Mallikarjun impressed with his splendid innings of 150 that was laced with 12 boundaries and four sixes. The Cambridge batsman propelled his team to a fighting 394/9 in 90 overs against India Cements in their first innings.
