Virat Kohli, are you watching? PSL fan has an epic message for Team India skipper

A fan's message for the classy right-hander went viral on social media during a Pakistan Super League (PSL) match.

Mumbai: Having established himself as one of the best modern-day batsmen in world cricket, there is no doubt that Virat Kohli has a lot of admirers around the world. On and off the cricket field, the Team India skipper continues to attract a lot of fans even in neighbouring country Pakistan.

Recently, during a Pakistan Super League (PSL) match between Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators, a fan’s message for the classy right-hander went viral on social media. Displaying his love for Kohli, the spectator held a placard with a message that read, “We want to see Virat Kohli in PSL".

This is not the first instance where fans abroad have made their love known for the 29-year-old. Previously in 2017, when the World XI toured Pakistan for the Independence Cup, a Pakistani policeman held a poster saying, “Kohli, marry me!”

Organisers of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) are still struggling to generate enough interest in the tournament, where all the action is unfolding before empty stands.

The third season of the League kicked off in UAE last week amidst a lot of buzz but has failed to attract crowds despite boasting top Pakistan players along with other international stars.

The much-hyped opening ceremony featured performances from Pakistani music icon Ali Zafar, Sufi singer Abida Parveen and US rapper, Jason Derulo.

Even film stars such as Mahira Khan, Hamza Ali Abbasi and Fawad Khan have all made appearances in the PSL but still could not coax the fans to flock the stadium.

One of the major reasons for the lack of fan support could be that PSL continues to be played far away in the UAE which is Pakistan's adopted home venue.

The lack of support is felt by the players as well, who hope cricket will return to Pakistan at the earliest.
