Danny, Sisodia, Khader key performers

SBI's Danny Derek Prince was the top scorer of the day.

Hyderabad: State Bank of India, Andhra Bank, Cambridge XI and Jai Hanuman entered the semifinals of the Hyderabad Cricket Association’s top division knockout tournament here on Thursday.

SBI’s Danny Derek Prince was the top scorer of the day. He hit 88 to guide his side to a four-wicket win over BDL, which had made 216 for 7 in 32 overs thanks to N. Sandeep Goud’s 76.

In another quarterfinal, Andhra Bank put up 235 for 9 in 45 overs with M. A. Khader (58), P. S. Chaitanya Reddy (44) and Abhinav Kumar (41) making key contributions. In reply, Continental CC folded for 168 in 37.4 overs even as Samhith Reddy stood strong with a fine 59.

In another match, Mickil Jaiswal continued his fine form by scoring a half-century and taking three wickets but could not prevent MP Colts from losing a thriller to Cambridge XI. Chasing MP Colts’ 195 built on Mickil’s 51, Cambridge rode on Rishit Sisodia’s scintillating 75 to overhaul the target with just one wicket remaining.

In another match, K. Rohit Rayudu (50), N. Anirudh Reddy (46), Vittal Anurag (40 n.o) and G. Shashidhar Reddy (33 n.o) ensured Jai Hanuman cantered past Ensconse’s 207 with six wickets in hand.
