CISF, CRPF Lead Taekwondo Table

Hyderabad: Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and hosts Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) lead the women’s and men’s medals tally in the Taekwondo discipline at the 11th All-India Police Judo Cluster Championship being organised by CISF under the aegis of the All India Police Sports Control Board (AIPSCB) at the GMC Balayogi Stadium in Gachibowli, Hyderabad.

CRPF women bagged four gold and two silver medals to lead the table, followed by Assam Rifles with two golds, three silvers and two bronzes. CISF got two golds and a bronze.
On the men’s side, CISF leads the medal tally with three golds, two silvers and two bronzes. Border Security Force (BSF) are second with three golds, one silver and three bronze medals. Arunachal Pradesh Police has three golds to their credit.
The Taekwondo competition was conducted in two formats — Kyorugi (sparring) — contested across seven weight categories each for men and women — and Poomsae (forms), comprising individual and team events for both categories on the fifth day of the championship.
