CISF Come Out Flying on Top at Pencak Silat Event
CISF bagged 12 golds, four silvers and four bronze medals to finish ahead of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), who tallied eight golds, four silvers and three bronzes. Maharashtra were third with two gold, three silver and four bronze medals.
Hosts Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) emerged overall champions of the Pencak Silat discipline at the 11th All-India Police Judo Cluster Championship being organised under the aegis of the All India Police Sports Control Board (AIPSCB) at the GMC Balayogi Indoor Stadium in Gachibowli here on Tuesday.

The Taekwondo (Kyorugi) competition featured sparring bouts across eight weight categories each for men and women. In the Men's Kyorugi event, CISF emerged champions with four golds, two silvers and two bronzes. Border Security Force (BSF) were runners-up with three golds, one silver and three bronzes. Uttar Pradesh Police finished third with two silvers and two bronzes against their name.
In the women’s Kyorugi event, Uttar Pradesh Police took the top place on the podium with two gold, one silver and two bronze medals. CISF were runners-up with two golds and two bronzes. Assam Rifles finished third with two golds and a bronze medal.
The medal winners of the Taekwondo discipline were felicitated by Vinod Kumar Muppidi, Executive Director, Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), Kanchanbagh, and Y. Srinivasa Rao, Executive Director, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL).
With Taekwondo and Pencak Silat now concluded, the championship moves into its final discipline — Karate — continuing at Hyderabad until Thursday.
