Rain threat to IPL finals? What happens if rain stops play?

Chennai: Cricket enthusiasts are all set and excited for the Indian Premier League (IPL) finals today evening at the MA Chidambaram Stadium here.

But the rain gods may cast a shadow on the most anticipated finals. The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) took a day off yesterday, while the rain forced to stop the practice session of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) Players on Saturday.
According to Accuweather, Chennai will see 37/31 degrees of highest and lowest temperatures on Sunday. With 19 km/h winds the coastal city will have humidity with 51 percent. The city will have a 4 percent chance of precipitation in the day with 100 percent cloud cover and a 1 percent chance of precipitation with 97 percent cloud cover in the night.
However, there is no official rain prediction for the city from the met department but the sudden downpour on Saturday and the onset of Cyclone Remal is making fans anxious. This is What happens if rain stops play:
Like last year, even this season has a reserve day for the finals. If the match gets abandoned due to rain then the officials will use the reserve day and play the game.
For this season's final, May 27, Monday is scheduled as the reserve day.
