Suryakumar Yadav's unbeaten 73, with a sudden unleash in the final over powered Mumbai Indians into the Indian Premier League playoffs with a 59-run hammering of Delhi Capitals on Wednesday.
Repeating batting heroics at the Wankhede Stadium, Suryakumar had leveled a world record with South African Temba Bavuma. Scoring 25 runs consecutively for the 13-time in T20s he had joined Bavunma at the top spot.
Out of all this what stood out was his heart-warming gesture during the post-match presentation, when he was awarded the Man of The Match.
As the rain was pouring, Surya with an umbrella in his hands, melted hearts of many as he dedicated the award to his wife - Devisha Shetty and said, "I think it's been 13 games now, my wife told me a sweet story today, I have got all the awards except man of the match. So I think this award is really important today, I think from the team's perspective this knock was important. It was very important for me to play till the end."
Later he shared a video on Instagram presenting the MOTM award to his wife with a caption, "Biwi ne bola karneka.. matlab karneka."
