India are undoubtedly favourites after winning five off their six T20Is this year when the Asia Cup kicks off with hosts Bangladesh taking on a well-settled MS Dhoni-led Indian side at the Fatullah stadium on Wednesday. Before heading to Bangladesh, India skipper Dhoni reiterated the importance of carrying on winning momentum while also stressing the fact of each player getting equal match exposure with the ICC World T20 just three weeks away. - The Indian team has a blend of youth and experience bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Ashish Nehra accounting for the fact. While Nehra, back in the team after five years, knows how it's supposed to be done in the business end of the innings mixing up deliveries, the real find for the team is Bumrah. The 22-year-old, who has already picked up 12 wickets from the one ODI and six T20Is against Australia and Sri Lanka has been a gift for Dhoni specially in the death overs. - With a flurry of T20 action, the Indian think-tank took an important decision of resting the side's Test skipper Virat Kohli for the Sri Lanka series. Kohli, who has been a run-machine of late and Suresh Raina, a T20 specialist, are known to overcome bowling attacks with ease. Kohli has the maturity to pace his innings while Raina does give the white ball a good beating in the business end of the innings. If the openers fail, their form will prove vital for the team. - Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma have found confidence as a pair and have been one of the reasons for Team India's success in the shortest format of the game.
