Karimnagar: Ahead of the soaring summer temperatures, Zilla Parishad High School in Jillella village, Rajanna Sircilla district, has introduced a "Water-Bell" to ensure regular hydration for students and staff. The headmistress, Joinapalli Anuradha, said the bell, which rings twice daily at 10.45 am and 2.45 pm, prompts everyone to gather on the school ground for a water break.
Teachers are tasked with ensuring that all students drink water during these breaks. In a move to promote eco-friendly practices, students have been issued pollution-free steel water bottles donated by local philanthropists. Plans are also underway to provide cool drinking water with similar support.
Emphasising the importance of hydration for health and concentration, Anuradha thanked the teaching staff for their support in implementing the initiative, which aims to protect the well-being of students during the intense summer season.
