Youth Shall Fight inequalities: Krishnaiah

Praising India’s scientific and technological achievements under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Hyderabad: BJP Rajya Sabha member and National BC Welfare Association president R. Krishnaiah urged youth to actively fight poverty, unemployment, illiteracy and economic and social inequalities. Speaking at flag-hoisting ceremonies at BC college hostels and officers, he called for building an India free from hunger, ignorance, exploitation and discrimination.

Krishnaiah stressed the need for policy reforms to decentralise wealth, noting that one per cent of the population controls most of the country’s riches while nearly half its citizens live in poverty. He pointed to stark disparities, with some living in mansions while many face severe financial hardship. “Independence guaranteed education, healthcare, jobs and empowerment for all, yet the poor and middle classes are still struggling as the rich grow richer,” he noted.

Praising India’s scientific and technological achievements under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, particularly in IT and space research, Krishnaiah acknowledged government measures to curb corruption, support farmers and improve infrastructure. However, he maintained that economic disparity remains a major challenge. With 56 per cent of the population from BC communities still underrepresented, he called for expanding educational, employment, political and social opportunities for these groups.

He urged voters to elect leaders committed to national development and pressed for constitutional amendments to ensure rightful reservations for BC, SC and ST communities. Concluding, he appealed to the youth to embrace patriotism, discipline and hard work to help build a developed and equitable India.
