Youth Congress Leaders Gearing Up To Contest in Local Body Elections

Adilabad: Youth Congress leaders, after the results of elections for the Indian Youth Congress were announced two days ago, are preparing to contest for local body elections such as gram panchayats, municipalities and zilla parishads.
Joint secretary for AICC and national in-charge for Indian Youth Congress, Krishna Allavaru visited Adilabad and interacted with Youth Congress leaders and discussed how to strengthen the party from the grassroots.
During interactions with Youth Congress leaders, Krishna Allavaru said they would represent the TPCC president Bomma Maheshkumar Goud and sought priority in party tickets to Youth Congress leaders working on the ground.
“The party will give tickets based on merit and after checking whether the candidate is deserving. It will certainly recognise the services of the Youth Congress leaders,” said Krishna Allavaru. However, he said that district politics will play a role while giving tickets to candidates.
Krishna Allavaru asked Youth Congress leaders to focus on strengthening the party along with their personal growth as leaders and take the development and welfare schemes being implemented by the government to the people.
Adilabad district Youth Congress president Sai Charan Goud said he planned to contest for the ward councillor post in Adilabad municipality elections. He expressed confidence that he would win as a ward councillor.
Along with Shivasena Reddy, chairman of Telangana Sports Authority of India (TSAI) and Jakkiti Shivacharan Reddy, who contested for the post of state president of the Youth Congress, Sai Charan Goud of Adilabad met Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and thanked him for his support.
