Cricket Betting Habit Lands Youth in Jail
According to the police, the accused, Abaraboina Prashant, is a native of Domakonda mandal in Kamareddy district. On July 11, he allegedly stole a motorcycle parked on the premises of the Government General Hospital in Siddipet and hid it at a secluded location.
Siddipet: A youth allegedly addicted to cricket betting was arrested by the Siddipet police for stealing two motorcycles to meet his financial needs.
According to the police, the accused, Abaraboina Prashant, is a native of Domakonda mandal in Kamareddy district. On July 11, he allegedly stole a motorcycle parked on the premises of the Government General Hospital in Siddipet and hid it at a secluded location.
Later the same day, he allegedly stole another motorcycle parked at the Government Degree College in Siddipet and hid it in a different location before returning to Kamareddy.
On Thursday, Prashant reportedly returned to Siddipet to take the first stolen motorcycle. Police personnel, who found him moving suspiciously near Indira Gandhi Chowrasta, intercepted and questioned him. During interrogation, he allegedly confessed to stealing the two motorcycles.
The police arrested the accused, recovered the stolen vehicles, and remanded him to judicial custody.
