Yadagirigutta Temple: Darshan Suspended After Woman Dies In Accident
Following the woman's death on the hill, temple officials halted the darshan temporarily, and once the purification ceremonies are completed, they will reopen the temple.
Yadadri Bhuvanagiri: A tragic accident on the hill of the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple at Yadagirigutta on Tuesday has led temple authorities to temporarily suspend darshan for devotees for the samprokshana, or purification rituals of the temple premises.
According to reports, a woman named Eswaramma, who lived by begging on the temple hill, was hit by a vehicle and died on the spot near the temple's Pushkarini (sacred tank). Police rushed to the scene after being alerted and took the car's driver into custody. A case has been registered, and an investigation into the circumstances of the accident is underway.
Meanwhile, Eswaramma's body was shifted to the Bhuvanagiri Area Hospital for post-mortem. Authorities said further details are expected to emerge once the investigation is complete.
