Hyderabad:Y-Axis Foundation will be the only EducationUSA centre for Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Odisha. Y-Axis Foundation, a CSR initiative of Y-Axis, provides trusted guidance to students on US higher education.

Speaking after an agreement signing ceremony, Xavier Augustin, a trustee of Y-Axis Foundation, said: “The renewed partnership with the US Embassy reaffirms our steadfast commitment to providing trusted, unbiased guidance to students from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Odisha. As the sole official EducationUSA centre in the region, we take great pride in ensuring that every student has access to accurate information and expert support — free of cost — as they chart their path to higher education in the United States.”

An agreement was signed by US Consul General Jennifer Larson on behalf of the US Embassy in Hyderabad and Y-Axis Foundation trustee Xavier Augustin.

Established as a US advisory centre in 2019, the initiative was formally inaugurated as a comprehensive EducationUSA centre on March 5, 2021. Since then, it has served as a vital resource for students seeking to study in the United States, offering free, expert advise across all five steps of the US higher education admission process, according to a statement.

The centre hosts regular advisory sessions with visiting US university officials both online and offline. The Ask-an-Adviser sessions on Saturday provide students with counselling on how to research for options in the United States, financing their study, completing their application, and preparing for departure, the statement said.

The centre also hosts regular Visa information sessions with officers from the US Consulate, which recently stated that visa slots remain available for first-time students across Mission India. The centre is located in Jubilee Hills and encourages students to walk in Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm.
