Woman Tries to Attack Husband with Knife at Warangal Junction over Affair
Police have taken Jyotsna, Srikanth and his father Lingamurthy into custody for questioning. A case has been registered, and an investigation is under way to ascertain the facts surrounding the domestic dispute.

Warangal: A busy road at Warangal junction witnessed chaos on Wednesday afternoon when a woman allegedly tried to attack her husband with a knife in broad daylight. The woman, identified as Jyotsna, reportedly chased her husband Srikanth with a knife, triggering panic among commuters and shopkeepers in the area. Srikanth managed to escape by locking himself inside a nearby jewellery shop and alerted the police by dialling the 100 emergency helpline.
On receiving information from locals, personnel from Intezar Ganj police station rushed to the spot and safely disarmed the woman. After police intervention, Jyotsna sat on the road and staged a protest, demanding justice.
She alleged that her husband was involved in an extramarital affair and was harassing her for a divorce. She further claimed that Srikanth was trying to take over their property and separate her from their 10-year-old physically challenged daughter. According to the police, the couple has been married for 15 years. While Jyotsna accused her husband of neglect and infidelity, Srikanth alleged that she was mentally unstable. He has already approached a court seeking divorce, and the case is currently pending. The incident occurred in front of Vaishnavi Jewellers, a shop belonging to Srikanth’s family.
