The Mahindra XUV 700 was heading towards Panjagutta when it lost control near the Lifestyle building and flipped, landing on its side near the traffic outpost. The woman driver, who was alone in the car, was trapped inside.
Locals who witnessed the crash rushed to the spot and rescued her. She sustained only minor injuries.
Eyewitnesses said the outcome could have been far worse during peak hours. As there were no other vehicles nearby at the time, a bigger disaster was averted.
Panjagutta police reached the spot, regulated the traffic, and are investigating what caused the vehicle to lose control. Further details are awaited.
