Woman Ends Life With Son by Jumping Into Well in Jagtial
Besides the family's financial problems, her younger son’s poor health condition is believed to have driven her to take the extreme step.
Karimnagar:A 34-year-old woman Gundeti Kavitha reportedly threw her younger son Shashank (7) into a well before jumping into it herself on the outskirts of Mutyampet in Mallial mandal of Jagtial district during the early morning of Thursday
Financial problems are said to be the reason for her decision.
According to police, Kavitha, a native of Mallial, called her brother Adepu Komuraiah early in the morning, informing him that she has decided to end her life. She asked her brother to take care of her two sons. Later, she switched-off her mobile phone.
The brother alerted family members who started searching for her. They found her mobile phone and slippers at an agricultural well. Later, they found her body floating in the well.
Police, with the help of Fire department staff, retrieved the body from the well and shifted it to the hospital for post-mortem. Whereabouts of her younger son, who had been suffering from health problems for quite some time, are not yet known.
Kavitha is survived by husband Dasharatham and elder son Nikilesh.

Based on the complaint lodged by the deceased’s brother Komuraiah, Mallial police have registered a case and are investigating.
