The police said the exact reason behind Pooja Jain’s suicide was yet to be established

Hyderabad: A 43-year-old woman, Pooja Jain, ended her life by leaping to death from her apartment in Himayathnagar, the police said.
A series of handwritten notes addressed to her family members were found in her room highlighting God, salvation and other religious customs. Though the exact reasons behind the incident were yet to be known, the police said Pooja Jain was suffering from psychological disorder.
Her family members approached senior doctors to ensure proper treatment for her. On Saturday, her husband Arun Kumar Jain went to the office. Even as her two children were attending to their work at their house, Pooja Jain jumped from the balcony of the fifth floor of their flat.
On receiving information, the police rushed to the spot and the body was handed over to the family members after an autopsy. Based on a complaint received from her brother Bahubal Jain, the police booked a case under provision of BNS and took up investigation.
Narayanguda Sub-Inspector Ch Nagaraju said the exact reason behind Pooja Jain’s suicide was yet to be established. However, according to family members, she was suffering from psychological issues. She used to remain silent and speak occasionally with the family members. She used to write notes on papers mentioning about God, salvation and religious customs.
The family members even planned to admit her to a rehabilitation centre to help cure her problems, he added.
