Woman Dies by Suicide Near Durgam Cheruvu Cable Bridge in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A 27-year-old woman, Sushma, died by suicide near Durgam Cheruvu cable bridge in the city. Sushma, a resident of Addagutta, Secunderabad, had gone to her office in Hitech City on Wednesday. According to Madhapur police, she left her workplace at 10:30 pm but did not return home that night.

Concerned, her father, Anjaiah, contacted her office manager and later filed a missing person complaint at Madhapur police station at 4 am on Thursday. At 7 am, police received information about a body floating in Durgam Cheruvu. Upon investigation, they identified it as Sushma’s and shifted it to Osmania Hospital for a postmortem.

The Madhapur police have registered a case, but the reasons behind Sushma’s suicide are yet to be determined.
