Woman Alleges Ex-Partner Created AI Deepfake Content

The complainant claimed the folder contained more than 100 images and videos, along with screenshots and screen recordings allegedly made using an application called ‘Mobizen’: Reports

HYDERABAD: A woman has lodged a complaint with the Cyberabad cybercrime police alleging that her former partner, an employee of a multinational company, created AI‑generated deepfake images and videos of her and other women without their consent, and secretly recorded intimate content.

In her complaint, filed on January 3, the woman said she had been in a relationship with the man and that both families were aware of their wedding plans. She stated that the two had lived together for a period. On November 29, 2025, she allegedly discovered a locked folder in his phone’s gallery containing AI‑generated images and videos featuring herself and several other women, including his relatives and former colleagues.

The complainant claimed the folder contained more than 100 images and videos, along with screenshots and screen recordings allegedly made using an application called ‘Mobizen’. She said that when she confronted him in the early hours of November 29, he admitted during a phone call with a family friend to using AI tools to create such content. She further alleged that he repeated similar admissions in WhatsApp messages and phone calls to other friends.

She also accused the man of capturing non‑consensual photographs and videos of her mother, aged about 53, and her sister, aged about 20. The device, she claimed, contained recordings of sexual activity with a female friend, stored without consent. In addition, she alleged that fabricated images and videos of women the man had never met were also found.

Stating that the acts amounted to serious violations of trust, privacy and dignity, the woman requested the police to seize all electronic devices belonging to the man for forensic examination and to inform his employer.

“All the allegations made by the complainant are being examined. We are verifying all the images and videos and will be taking action accordingly,” an official from the Cybercrime wing said.
