Hyderabad:AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi said that he would explain to the international community that Pakistan’s attempts to destabilise India, the fourth largest economy, was not just a regional issue but would have a global cascading effect. “The world must understand this,” Owaisi said. He will be in the international delegation deputed by the Centre to the UK, France, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Denmark, besides EU headquarters under the leadership of Baijayant Panda.
Speaking to mediapersons, Owaisi said: “We need to tell the global community how Pakistan-sponsored terrorism is impacting the nation. India as a victim of terrorism has taken a firm stand against Pakistan as we have been facing the Pahalgam kind of incidents frequently.”
Owaisi said that Pakistan was known for spreading lies and everyone knew that the nation was built on falsehood. Referring to nuclear threats by Pakistan, he called for the international community to disarm and destroy Pakistan’s nuclear weapons, emphasising the danger Pakistan posed to regional and global security. “Though Iran and Israel are nuclear powers, are they using against each other,” Owaisi asked.
On Turkey’s support to Pakistan, Owaisi hit back strongly and said the bogey floated by Turkey was wrong as more Muslims were living with respect in India than in Pakistan. “About 22 crore Muslims are living in India. Pakistan has nothing to do with Islam and the way they behaved so far is against all religious norms,” he said. He asked Turkey to understand that India was also a victim of terrorism.
Owaisi welcomed the government’s stand that Operation Sindoor was not over, and said the government must continue it till Pakistan stopped sponsoring terrorism. He also supported India building the Chabahar Port in Iran by stating that it would help bypass Pakistan allow access to Afghanistan. He pointed out that the Taliban had outrightly condemned the Pahalgam attack.
He criticised the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for approving a $1 billion loan to Pakistan, sarcastically calling it the "International Militant Fund" and alleging that the loan effectively funded militancy. Owaisi condemned Pakistan for targeting civilian facilities such as medical dispensaries in Srinagar, calling such acts malicious and unacceptable.
