Will Play ‘Football’ with Revanth, People Fed Up with Congress: KTR
On delimitation, Rama Rao said such decisions created administrative chaos and were against public aspirations.

Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Saturday said he would play “football” with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, and that the time was not far off when people of Telangana too would play “football” with the Chief Minister.
Rama Rao, alluding to the colloquial use of ‘playing football’, also said “Revanth Reddy may choose to indulge in political theatrics and personal stunts, but ultimately it was the people of Telangana who will ‘play football’ with him for his failures, betrayals, and arrogance in governance.”
Rama Rao said that dragging family members into politics “as Revanth Reddy did, reflects a lack of values. I will never comment on Revanth Reddy’s family members, women, children, or grandchildren. I will never stoop to such cheap politics. That is not our culture, and it is certainly not what KCR taught us,” he said.
Rama Rao was answering questions on the football-related controversy involving Revanth Reddy’s grandson playing with global icon Lionel Messi, and the Chief Minister’s riposte when asked about it at an informal press conference.
On delimitation, Rama Rao said such decisions created administrative chaos and were against public aspirations.
“No matter how many conspiracies Revanth Reddy attempts, people have already delivered their verdict. The local body election trends clearly indicate growing public anger against Congress. The BRS is returning to power in 2028,” he said.
Rama Rao alleged that the Congress had committed a “clear and unforgivable betrayal” of the Backward Classes by promising 42 per cent reservations for the community in local body elections providing 17 per cent. The BRS on the other hand, provided 50 per cent of its general seats to BC candidates.
Alleging a “deep, covert understanding between Congress and BJP,” Rama Rao said the BJP was shielding Revanth Reddy despite serious allegations of corruption, even as it says Telangana Congress had become an ‘ATM’ for Congress leadership in Delhi.
He said under Revanth Reddy, Telangana’s industrial reputation was on a downward spiral. “Investors are moving to other states due to policy instability and fear under the Congress government.”
