Govt to upgrade facilities at Rajanna, Anjaneya Swamy temples and build new Gopuram, Satram

Accompanied by district Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha, district libraries chairman Nagula Satyanarayana Goud and Congress Sircilla constituency incharge K. K. Mahendar Reddy, Srinivas laid a foundation stone for the construction of a compound wall and arch to the Sri Joda Anjaneya Swamy Temple at a cost of Rs 31 lakh in Vemulawada on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that the devotees who visit the Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy Temple will follow the tradition of offering prayers at the Hanuman temple. In view of that, the government has taken up developmental works of not only Rajanna Temple but also the Vemulawada town and Anjaneya Swamy Temple. “The Anjaneya Swamy temple will be developed in a phase-wise manner,” he said.

During the recent visit to Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Kalyana Mahotsavam held at Nampally in Vemulawada town, the temple priests requested the construction of a three-storied Gopuram. The government is ready to take up the works very soon along with the construction of Kalyana Mandapam at the premises of Sri Sitaramachandra Swamy Temple in Mamidipally village and the development of Rajanna Temple and construction works of Annadana Satram at a cost of Rs 76 crore, he added.

Srinivas said that the development of Rajanna Temple will be taken up after considering the guidelines from the scholars of Sringeri Peetam and suggestions by the local leaders, political parties and members of Vemulawada Alayaa Parirakshana Samithi and as per the aspirations of Rajanna devotees.
