Welfare School Students Crack JEE Advanced

SC development and tribal welfare minister Adluri Laxman Kumar said that the results exemplify the government’s commitment to advancing social justice through education under the leadership of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.

Hyderabad: Overcoming several challenges, including financial constraints, poverty, social and family issues, several students from welfare residential educational institutions cracked the JEE Advanced, confirming their admission in premier Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
Besides, KGBV student B. Akhila secured the 831 rank. She, along with seven other girl students who qualified for JEE Advanced, is likely to secure admission in leading engineering colleges.
One such student is Sandeep S. from TGSWREIS (Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society), who secured All India Rank 1,706. A son of a tailor and a daily wage work, Sandeep could not afford private education. This did not deter him from pursuing his dream of cracking the exam and joining the IIT. "My senior, who is pursuing engineering at IIT Delhi, inspired me to aim for the IIT," he said.
G. Varshith Kumar, another TGSWREIS student from Hyderabad, who secured 1,829 rank, too, faced financial struggles from childhood. He credited his success to the government's free education in a residential campus that allowed him to focus on his studies.
Kumar had limited knowledge about JEE Advanced before joining the residential college. However, with proper guidance, a structured schedule, and a clear strategy, he was able to succeed.
TGSWREIS student Manaswith Parumandla, who bagged a 3560 rank, said he has been studying in social welfare schools since Class 5. Despite financial difficulties, he received support from the institution, which helped him clear the examination. He hopes to pursue mechanical engineering from IIT Kharagpur.
Sixty-one TGSWREIS students secured direct admission eligibility, while 102 students obtained preparatory ranks, taking the total number of students eligible for admission to IITs to 163. Similarly, 113 students from tribal welfare institutions secured ranks.
School principal Anjaiah said the students are highly motivated and focused on their goals, and they used to study from 4.30 am to 11 pm every day.
