Water Disruption in Major Areas of Hyderabad: HMWSSB
HMWSSB Managing Director Ashok Reddy reviewed the situation and directed Operations & Maintenance and Transmission wing officials to coordinate closely and expedite the restoration work.

Hyderabad: Water supply in several parts of the city is likely to be disrupted following a major leakage in the 1,500-mm diameter main pipeline of the Manjeera Phase-II drinking water supply system near Rudraram village. HMWS&SB said repair had been taken up, and would result in the outage of water supply.
Areas likely to face water supply interruptions include RC Puram, Ashoknagar, Jyothinagar, Lingampally, Chandanagar, Gangaram, Madinaguda and Miyapur under O&M Division-17; Beeramguda, Ameenpur and Bhagyanagar Colony under O&M Division-22; bulk connections and off-take points under Transmission Division-2; Erragadda, SR Nagar and Ameerpet under O&M Division-6; and KPHB Colony, Kukatpally, Bhagyanagar Colony and Pragathi Nagar under O&M Division-9.
HMWSSB Managing Director Ashok Reddy reviewed the situation and directed Operations & Maintenance and Transmission wing officials to coordinate closely and expedite the restoration work. He instructed officials to complete the repairs at the earliest and ensure the resumption of water supply without delay.
The MD also directed officials to arrange water tankers in affected areas to ensure that residents do not face hardship during the disruption.
