Warangal Poised to Be Sports Hub: Warangal West MLA
The MLA also appreciated the organizers for hosting state-level athletic events in Warangal and assured the participants that any issues they faced would be addressed.

Warangal: Warangal is poised to become a major hub for sports, said Warangal West MLA Naini Rajendar Reddy, adding that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and local MLAs are prioritizing sports development in the region.
MLA Rajendar Reddy, along with Wardhannapet MLA K.R. Nagaraju and District Youth and Sports Officer Ashok, inaugurated the 11th Telangana Athletics Championship for under-20 athletes at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Hanamkonda on Sunday.
The MLAs flagged off several events, including running, long jump, and high jump, and presented awards to the winners of the 5,000-meter race.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajendar Reddy said that when the MLAs met the Chief Minister and requested the establishment of a cricket stadium and a sports school for the district, the CM responded positively and assured support. Within days, the government issued orders to begin sports classes this year.
The new government is giving special attention to sports, alongside education, healthcare, and agriculture. A significant portion of the state budget has been allocated to the sports sector, reflecting the Chief Minister’s keen interest.
“It is a matter of great pride that an international-standard cricket stadium is being constructed during the tenure of the Congress government — a first for Warangal district,” he added.
The MLA also appreciated the organizers for hosting state-level athletic events in Warangal and assured the participants that any issues they faced would be addressed.
