Warangal MP Seeks New Railway Station In Bhupalpally, Bus Stand At Kazipet
The MP met Union railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw in New Delhi on Thursday and submitted a representation highlighting the need for a railway line and station to connect Bhupalpally with Warangal, Kazipet, and Jammikunta.

WARANGAL: With the initiative taken by Warangal MP Kadiyam Kavya of the Congress, the Union Railways has approved a new railway station for Jayashankar Bhupalpally district and a new bus stand near Kazipet Railway Station in Hanamkonda district.
The MP met Union railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw in New Delhi on Thursday and submitted a representation highlighting the need for a railway line and station to connect Bhupalpally with Warangal, Kazipet, and Jammikunta.
She pointed out that Bhupalpally is a key district, home to the Singareni Collieries and the TG Genco power plant, both of which currently rely on road transport for coal movement. This has led to frequent accidents, pollution, and road damage. The proposed railway infrastructure is expected to address these issues by enabling safer, more economical transport. It will also enhance passenger connectivity, contributing to regional economic growth.
Responding positively to the request, the railway minister instructed South Central Railway to conduct a study and submit a detailed project report (DPR) on the Bhupalpally railway project within six months.
In another significant development, a new bus stand will be constructed on railway land near the Kazipet Railway Station, a major railway hub. This project is part of the ministry’s Multimodal Connectivity Initiative and is expected to greatly benefit thousands of daily commuters, especially those from nearby villages.
These developments have also revived discussions around the creation of a separate Kazipet Railway division to ease the burden on the Secunderabad division.
MP Kavya assured that the Telangana government would extend full cooperation to ensure their timely completion, with the goal of making Warangal a key connectivity hub.
