Voter Enrolment Driver After Nov. 9, Says Poll Officer
Telangana will launch a fresh voter enrolment drive after November 9, covering left-out and first-time voters through house-to-house Form-6 applications.

The Election Commission will take up a new drive to enrol new voters, including those left-out during the enumeration phase and first-time voters, in Telangana after the publication of final electoral rolls after completion of the Special Intensive Review (SIR) on November 9.
According to an election officer. Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will visit each house to facilitate enrolment of new and left-out voters through Form-6, which is a mandated form used for enrolling a voter to the electoral roll.
Though currently, every Form-6 is required to be accompanied by a declaration form to map the elector or one of the parents to the 2002 electoral rolls, the official said no declaration will be sought with Form-6 once the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 process is completed.
More than 54 lakh notices have so far been served out of the 92 lakh electors in the state. The final electoral roll will be published after Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) decide on claims and objections. It will include electors added to or deleted from the rolls after publication of the draft roll. After the publication of the final roll, it will be compared with the pre-SIR electoral roll.
BLOs have been given the responsibility of facilitating Form 6 applications for left-out, first-time and young electors during their house-to-house visits.
The BLOs will also share the list of such electors with Booth Level Agents (BLAs) of recognised political parties. They will submit the list to the ERO along with the completed Form 6 applications and their field verification reports.
At the end of the exercise, the booth-wise lists will be shared by the EROs with representatives of political parties, providing a further opportunity to facilitate the enrolment of left-out electors.
Election authorities, however, said only eligible electors would be enrolled and that duplicate or fraudulent entries would not be included. “The enrollment is a part of purification of rolls. So double entries or fraudulent entries will not happen,” said an official from Hyderabad Election Authority.
