Vinay Bhaskar Backs Kazipet Hutment Dwellers
Vinay Bhaskar urged the authorities to ensure justice for the residents without affecting their livelihoods.

Warangal: Former government chief whip and former MLA Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar has asserted that he would stand by the hutment dwellers of YSR Nagar in Kazipet, Warangal, and fight for their rights.
Speaking to the media at YSR Nagar on Sunday, he said poor families had been living in huts in the area for the past three to four decades and that basic amenities such as roads, electricity and drinking water had been provided.
He urged the authorities to ensure justice for the residents without affecting their livelihoods.
Recalling the 2014 elections, he said he and then MP candidate Kadiyam, along with Kadiyam Srihari, then MLA of Station Ghanpur and now a member of the ruling Congress, had promised to support the hutment dwellers.
He questioned why Srihari was not responding to the problems faced by the poor despite being part of the ruling party.
Vinay Bhaskar accused MLA Naini Rajender Reddy of shedding crocodile tears over the plight of YSR Nagar residents and alleged that Congress leaders themselves were involved in land exploitation.
He announced that a rally would be taken out from YSR Nagar to the Kazipet MRO office on Monday, followed by a protest along with public organisations.
He assured the hutment dwellers that they had nothing to fear.
Former KUDA chairman Marri Yadava Reddy said elected representatives, who were expected to protect the interests of the poor, should not attempt to take away their land.
He demanded that plots be allotted to the hutment dwellers and permanent houses constructed for them.
He also questioned Naini Rajender Reddy over the permissions granted to a commercial complex at Kazipet crossroads after the MLA assumed office, alleging that the complex had remained without approvals for 15 years.
Party leaders and hutment dwellers participated in the programme.
