Vikarabad Bus Accident: Sridhar Babu Announces Rs.5 Lakh Ex-Gratia

Hyderabad: IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu announced an ex-gratia of Rs.5 lakh each to the kin of those killed in road accident in Vikarabad on Saturday morning and Rs.1 lakh to the injured persons. The Minister also interacted with the affected family members.

As per the preliminary information, 51 persons from Isnapur Village and Kyasaram Village, Patancheru mandal in Sangareddy district, were travelling in the bus towards Chintakunta Village, to attend the funeral of Kothagadi Narayana Reddy, aged 50 years, a native of Chintakunta Village.

Reddy died the previous day. While proceeding towards Chintakunta, near Ananthagiri Hills Down Road curve, the bus reportedly overturned towards the right side, apparently due to high speed resulting in the accident.

So far, four persons died in the incident. As per the latest hospital status available, a total of 43 persons were shifted to Government General Hospital, Vikarabad, for medical treatment.

Of the 43 persons shifted to Government General Hospital in Vikarabad, 25 persons were referred to other hospitals for further treatment. Of the remaining 18 persons, 10 are presently under observation and eight persons have been discharged at the request of their relatives.
