Hyderabad: North zone deputy commissioner of Police (DCP) Sadhana Rashmi Perumal on Wednesday warned hotels, lodges and other establishments to function
strictly in accordance with the law.
During a meeting with managers/owners of around 100 hotels and lodges, the DCP cautioned them to ensure proper compliance with all the legal provisions
and public safety measures in the regular running of their establishments.
Rashmi warned them stating that any deviation or negligence causing detriment to public safety will attract stringent action as per law. She
instructed them to strictly maintain credentials of the guests and visitors and make proper entries and daily submission of details to the local SHO.
The DCP cautioned them to strictly verify and retain validity of ID proofs of all the guests at the time of check-in, ensuring authenticity and maintaining proper records for inspection by the local police.
Rashmi further instructed them to install CCTV cameras with a minimum backup as mandated under the Public Safety Act and seek prior permission from local police stations before conducting any events, gatherings, or training programmes within the premises.
She warned them to ensure that the premises are not used for any illegal activities such as prostitution, drug peddling, or other unlawful acts and
to deploy adequate security arrangements, including DFMD/HHMD scanners and security guards, a press release issued by DCP north zone states.
