Venkaiah Naidu Pats CM's Push for Telugu in Governance
Naidu recalled that he had earlier urged the Chief Ministers of both Telugu states to strengthen the language in governance and education.

Hyderabad: Former vice-president M. Venkaiah Naidu hailed Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s commitment to promoting Telugu in administration, citing how he recently directed a district collector to switch from English to Telugu during a review meeting.
Speaking at Sankranti celebrations organised by the Hyderabad chapter of Swarna Bharat Trust at its Muchintal campus in Rangareddy district, Naidu recalled that he had earlier urged the Chief Ministers of both Telugu states to strengthen the language in governance and education. “They agreed, and Revanth promptly enforced it by correcting a collector,” he said, adding that Telugu people remain united despite state divisions.
Naidu inaugurated the Muppavarapu Foundation building, planted trees to highlight environmental care, and emphasised Sankranti’s role in fostering family and community bonds. He reiterated his stance against political family succession, handing over responsibilities of Swarna Bharat Trust and Muppavarapu Foundation — focused on youth skill development, women empowerment, and healthcare in Hyderabad, Vijayawada, and Nellore — to his son Harshavardhan and daughter Deepa.
The event drew wide participation, including Tripura Governor Nallu Indrasena Reddy, Union minister G. Kishan Reddy, BJP state president N. Ramchander Rao, former AP minister Kamineni Srinivas, former MP K.V.P. Ramachandra Rao, Rajya Sabha MP K. Laxman, actor Brahmanandam, MLAs Sujana Chowdary and Prakash Goud, and spiritual speaker Garikipati Narasimha Rao, who delivered “Sankranti Prashastyam.”
Kishan Reddy praised the trust’s services and echoed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call to reconnect with cultural roots during festivals, noting Sankranti’s growing national appeal.
