The victim, identified as Chettipalli Parshuram (38), a driver by profession and resident of Nagayyapalli, was found murdered late Sunday night. According to police, the accused — identified as Byreddy from Konaipalli, and his associates Sai and Akhil — were seen in a video holding a blood-stained axe, with Byreddy issuing threats and claiming responsibility for the crime.

Initial investigations suggest that Parshuram and the accused were acquaintances. While the exact motive remains unclear, family members of the deceased suspect that the murder may have been the result of old personal grudges.

Police sources said the trio lured Parshuram to Mahalingeshwara Function Hall after drinking alcohol and attacked him with an axe, leading to his death. Parshuram was employed as a driver for Bingi Mahesh, the former vice-chairman of Vemulawada Municipality.
