Veggie Vendor Held for Indecency

Hyderabad:A vegetable vendor who was seen in a video purportedly vegetables on his private parts before selling them to customers was arrested by the Narayanguda police on Tuesday.
Station house officer Saideshwar said the accused Mohammed Waseek was selling vegetables in front of the Melkote Park in Narayanguda. “We identified Waseek through a viral video that was shot by locals and arrested him,” the official said.
Police said Waseek was suffering from skin allergy on his private parts and was applying ointment and scratching the spot, sources said.
Police booked case for spreading allergy and selling unhygienic products under the BNS and produced him before a criminal court. The court, based on the charges and video as exhibit, sent him to five days in jail and imposed a fine of `2,500. The court directed officials to get his shop closed.
54-Yr-Old Farmer Chokes to Death
Hyderabad:A 54-year-old farmer choked to death allegedly while having food at his house in Shabad, police said on Tuesday. Chilkamarri Jangaiah had returned home and was having food at around 12.30 am on Tuesday when the incident occurred at his house in Shabad.
Jangaiah’s wife found him lying unconscious and rushed him to a private hospital where the doctors declared him dead, Shabad police said. After post-mortem at the local government hospital mortuary, the body was handed over to his family members.
Shabad sarpanch Gundala Ashok, deputy sarpanch Dandu Rahul, and former ZPTC Jadala Rajender Goud visited the family and offered their condolences.
Ibooma’s Ravi to Be Held for the Third Time
Hyderabad:Cybercrime cops will take iBomma founder and piracy kingpin Immadi Ravi into police custody for the third time. Based on a petition filed by the investigators, a Nampally court granted 12-days custody in four separate cases and three-day custody for each case, police said. As per the court directions investigators will take Ravi into custody on Thursday.
Woman, Lover Kill Her Husband, Say It Is Accident
Hyderabad:Vikarabad police arrested a woman who along with her lover murdered her husband after he came to know about their affair, and made it look like a road accident. Police identified the accused as Karre Kavitha of Chodapur mandal, Vikarabad, and Dasari Ramakrishna.
Police said her husband Karre Ratnaiah had warned them against continuing the affair, and decided to eliminate him.
Last week, Ramakrishna hit Ratnaiah with his tractor while he was returning from his farm. He then informed Kavita who asked him to escape from the place and told him that she would inform police that her husband died in a hit-and-run case.
Victim Ratnaiah’s younger brother Devaiah grew suspicious and informed the police who interrogated Kavita. She then confessed to the plan.
133 CCTVs scanned to trace bag, 2 snatchers
Hyderabad:The Banjara Hills crime team over six days scanned footage from 133 CCTV cameras and recovered a woman’s bag containing valuables that had fallen off her two-wheeler and was snatched by two persons, tracing the duo from their bike registration number and mobile numbers.
The incident took place at Road No. 12, Banjara Hills on December 10, according to the complaint by Swati Agarwal. She had placed the bag containing a diamond pendant, gold bangles, earrings, three cell phones, 15 ATM cards and other documents, on the vehicle’s footboard, Banjara Hills station house officer K.M. Raghavendra said.
The bag slipped off the vehicle without her noticing. A doctor who was driving car behind her noticed the bag and picked it up to return it to her.
The duo that was at the spot snatched the bag from the doctor. When she failed to find the bag, Agarwal complained to the police who launched the investigation.
The police found the bike belonging to the duo parked at Road No, 36, Jubilee Hills. “Based on the bike’s registration number, we collected the linked mobile number of the offender and arrested Syed Farhan and Mohammad Mosin (26) from their house in Borabanda and recovered the bag,” police said.
West zone DCP Ch Srinivas appreciated the work of the Banjara Hills police.
