Uttam Slams Harish For Insulting Judiciary

HYDERABAD: Irrigation minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy slammed BRS leader and former irrigation minister T. Harish Rao for “insulting the judicial system, and the Justice P.C. Ghose commission of inquiry” whose report laid bare how the then BRS government did as it pleased with the Kaleshwaram project.
Reacting to Harish Rao’s presentation earlier on Tuesday on the commission’s report, Uttam Kumar Reddy said: “The BRS leader’s comments yet again show that the BRS does not care for democratic systems, legislatures or the judicial system. Today, it also proved that it does not even care for a judicial commission headed by a former Supreme Court judge. Instead of criticising the commission, Harish Rao should apologise to the people of Telangana for the way the BRS government ran amuck with the Kaleshwaram project.”
In a statement, Uttam Kumar Reddy said those responsible for the sinking of Medigadda barrage were shamelessly criticising Justice Ghose. “The fact is, the commission exposed all the irregularities indulged in, and violation of all rules by K. Chandrashekar Rao and Harish Rao. The commission revealed the truth and the BRS is unable to digest it,” he said.
Uttam Kumar Reddy said the government’s presentation had content from the commission’s report. “How long will the BRS and its leaders try to fool the people with their lies on Kaleshwaram? Both KCR and Harish Rao were questioned by the commission. Instead of crying hoarse today, why did Harish Rao not come forth before the commission when he was summoned,” Uttam Kumar Reddy asked.
