Uttam Is AICC Observer for Tamil Nadu, Puducherry Assembly Polls

AICC assigns a key role in coordinating strategy and organisation ahead of elections

Hyderabad: The Congress has appointed irrigation and civil supplies minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy as the senior AICC observer for the upcoming Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

Orders to this effect were issued on Wednesday by AICC general secretary K.C. Venugopal. As senior observer, Uttam Kumar Reddy will play a key role in coordinating with the state party units, reviewing organisational preparedness and assisting in the formulation and execution of campaign strategies ahead of the polls.

Party sources said the observers would work closely with local leadership to mobilise cadres, address internal issues and ensure effective coordination at the district and constituency levels. The focus will be on building a cohesive election machinery capable of mounting a strong challenge in both Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

Along with Uttam Kumar Reddy, the Congress has appointed senior leaders Mukul Wasnik and Khazi Mohinuddin Nizamuddin as observers for the two states. The team will hold consultations with party leaders, assess ground-level feedback and guide the campaign in alignment with the party’s broader national vision.
