UPSC Civil Services Mains from August 21: 753 Candidates to Appear Across Three Hyderabad Centres

Candidates have been asked to reach their centres at least 30 minutes before the examination, and those arriving late would not be allowed to enter the hall.

Hyderabad:Three Hyderabad centres will host 753 candidates for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Mains from August 21 to 30. District revenue officer Dr Narayana reviewed the arrangements at a coordination meeting at the Hyderabad collectorate on Tuesday and directed officials to follow UPSC guidelines strictly.

The examination will be held on August 21, 22, 23, 29 and 30; there will be one session on the first day while the remaining four days will have two sessions, from 9 am to noon and 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.

Candidates have been asked to reach their centres at least 30 minutes before the examination, and those arriving late would not be allowed to enter the hall. Candidates will be allowed to carry their e-admit card, identity proof, pen, pencil and self-photographs. Mobile phones, digital or smart watches and other electronic gadgets have been barred.

Dr Narayana asked civic bodies to ensure cleanliness and drinking water supply around the centres as well as to make arrangements for uninterrupted power supply and traffic management. Venue supervisors and local inspecting officers were asked to verify infrastructure and other arrangements, while face authentication must be implemented at the centres. The meeting also reviewed the responsibilities of route officers and other line departments involved in conducting the examination. Assistant Commissioner of Police G. Laxman, G.S. Chakravarthy, venue supervisors, local inspecting officers and officials from various departments attended.
