Uppal-Narapally Elevated Corridor To Be Completed By Dasara

R&B Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, who inspected the construction works on Wednesday, announced that the flyover would be opened for the public by Dasara festival in 2026.

Hyderabad:The woes of motorists travelling from Uppal Ring Road to Narapally are expected to end with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and Telangana Roads and Buildings (R&B) department has started expediting the ongoing construction work of the six-lane elevated corridor.

R&B Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, who inspected the construction works on Wednesday, announced that the flyover would be opened for the public by Dasara festival in 2026. After reviewing the progress of the works, he asked officials to accord top priority to complete the construction work.

The construction works of the six-lane flyover covering over six kilometers were started eight years ago. It will be the second largest flyover after the 11.6 km P.V. Narasimha Rao Expressway connecting Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Shamshabad from Masab Tank.

Officials said the delay in land acquisition followed by clearing electric poles and water pipelines apart from getting approval from the police department hampered the ongoing works.

To meet the deadline of completing works by Dasara 2026, officials decided to start concrete segmentation works between pillars from two sides – Narapally and Uppal Ring Road in addition to laying a few more pillars near Uppal.
