Uppal CI Gets Reassigned to CP Office for HCA Leaks

Hyderabad: Uppal police inspector Election Reddy has been relieved of his duties as the station house officer and was attached to the police commissioner office for allegedly leaking information about the ongoing investigation into HCA financial irregularities to the officebearers of the cricket body.

According to reports, Election Reddy had been sharing information to Hyderabad Cricket Association general secretary Devaraju, who was aware of his arrest due to the SHO’s leaks.

Though initial reports suggested the suspension of Election Reddy, sources clarified that the inspector was only temporarily reassigned, and not suspended. He was expected to cooperate with the CID if he was asked to appear for questioning.
