UoH Named Lead Knowledge Institution
UoH vice‑chancellor in‑charge Prof. J. Anuradha said the nomination was a matter of pride and an opportunity for faculty and researchers to translate academic knowledge into actionable policy.

Hyderabad: The University of Hyderabad (UoH) has been nominated as the Lead Knowledge Institution (LKI) for Telangana under NITI Aayog’s State Support Mission (SSM), tasked with providing research‑based policy support and technical expertise across key sectors.
The Telangana planning department identified UoH for its multidisciplinary research strengths to aid evidence‑based governance and policy planning. Under the initiative, the university will work with government agencies on policy inputs, monitoring and evaluation, data analytics, sectoral studies, thematic action plans and capacity‑building programmes.
The collaboration will span economics, agriculture, industry, infrastructure, health, education, urban development, technology, entrepreneurship and human resource development. The initiative also aims to support Telangana’s Vision 2047 goals through inclusive, research‑driven policy frameworks.
UoH vice‑chancellor in‑charge Prof. J. Anuradha said the nomination was a matter of pride and an opportunity for faculty and researchers to translate academic knowledge into actionable policy. She urged departments and centres to contribute actively, adding that the university’s R&D Cell would coordinate the mission to strengthen evidence‑based governance in the state.
