Hyderabad: Union minister G. Kishan Reddy has expressed deep grief over the tragic murder of 27-year-old Godishala Nikhita, a Hyderabad native, in the United States.
In a statement posted on 'X' (formerly Twitter), the minister pledged support to the bereaved family. He noted that Nikhita’s family resides in Vijayapuri Colony, Tarnaka, which falls under his Secunderabad parliamentary constituency.
"Upon learning of the tragic incident, I immediately spoke with External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar, who is currently on a visit to Germany. I have requested his cooperation in expediting the process of bringing Nikhita’s mortal remains back to India," Reddy stated.
He further assured that his office in New Delhi and the Telangana BJP unit are in constant touch with Nikhita’s family members to provide all necessary assistance and coordination during this difficult time.
