Udyan Utsav 2026 at Rashtrapati Nilayam Draws Over One Lakh Visitors

The festival featured 50 thematic stalls with more than 120 exhibitors

Hyderabad: About one lakh people visited Udyan Utsav, hosted at Rashtrapati Nilayam, the winter home of the President of India, that concluded on Sunday. The nine-day event emerged as a celebration of Indian heritage, agriculture, sustainability, and citizen engagement.

The programme was organised by Rashtrapati Nilayam and anchored by the ministry of agriculture and farmers welfare, with support from the National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE). It attracted school students, farmers, entrepreneurs, startups, farmer producer organisations (FPOs), and citizens from diverse backgrounds, a statement said.

Dr Sagar Hanuman Singh, Director General, MANAGE, described Udyan Utsav as an important reflection of Indian history and culture. He noted that children enjoyed the exhibition, farmers took part in workshops, and the participation of young women was particularly encouraging. He expressed gratitude to the President for her vision and all departments for their efficiency and support in effective implementation.

Shivendra Chaturvedi, Director, President’s Secretariat, Rashtrapati Bhavan, expressed his satisfaction over the active involvement of people specially the youth and school children.

Dr K. Rajani Priya, manager, President’s Secretariat, Rashtrapati Nilayam, the programme was a unique initiative for drawing inspiration from horticulture and agriculture, and amalgamating the legacy of Rashtrapati Nilayam.

The festival featured 50 thematic stalls with more than 120 exhibitors, organised across zones such as the Green Knowledge Hub, Millet Mandi and Start-up Hub, Eco Bazaar, Plant and Produce Zone, Innovation Zone, and Farm-to-Enterprise Zone. Institutions such as IIMR, Nutrihub, TRIFED, National Bee Board, MANAGE-incubated startups, and numerous FPOs actively participated, enabling direct market linkages and knowledge dissemination.
