ADILABAD: Adilabad Rural police arrested two persons for allegedly encroaching on government land near Bangariguda and creating 24 plots with a fake layout to sell them.

The case was registered following a complaint by the Adilabad municipal commissioner. The accused were identified as Mouguri Vijaykumar, 48, of Khanapur in Adilabad town, and Ravrani Paresh, 48, of GE Estate on National Highway Road in Adilabad town.
According to Adilabad Rural circle inspector Raheem Pasha, the accused allegedly altered the boundaries of government land and erected new boundary stones to create the plots.
Municipal staff removed the boundary stones after the issue came to their notice.
Adilabad Rural sub-inspector V. Vishnuvarthan and other police personnel were present.
