Two-Day Closure of Booze Shops in Charminar Zone
Hyderabad police commissioner V.C. Sajjanar said the restrictions would apply in the Rajendranagar and Golconda zones.
Hyderabad:Liquor outlets including toddy and wine shops and bars attached to restaurants will remain closed across parts of Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Future City commissionerates in view of the Bonalu festival on August 9.
In Cyberabad, police commissioner M. Ramesh ordered the closure of such establishments on Sunday from 10 am to 10 pm in Kukatpally, Allapur, Raidurgam, Jeedimetla, Medchal and Chandanagar police limits. Bars in star hotels and registered clubs are exempted.
Hyderabad police commissioner V.C. Sajjanar said the restrictions would apply in the Rajendranagar and Golconda zones. In the Charminar zone, the restrictions will be in force for two days, from 10 am on August 9 to 10 am on August 11.
In a separate notification, Future City Police Commissioner Dr. Tarun Joshi announced that liquor outlets will remain closed on August 9 from 10 am to 6 am the following day.
