TUTF Calls For Overhaul Of Edu System
While welcoming the proposed Telangana Integrated Model School system, TUTF recommended tailoring it to local needs.

Hyderabad:The Telangana United Teachers Federation (TUTF) has urged the state government to overhaul its school system and safeguard educators’ rights. In a memorandum submitted this week, the federation called for immediate teacher rationalisation and appointments tied to student enrollment, alongside a fixed summer calendar for transfers and promotions.
While welcoming the proposed Telangana Integrated Model School system, TUTF recommended tailoring it to local needs. Every village should retain nursery–Class III instruction under a single teacher, with Classes IV–VIII consolidated in revenue villages and safe transport provided — especially for girl students. At least five integrated high schools per mandal, covering Classes IX–XII, would follow a semi-residential model offering meals and co-curricular activities, and enable School Assistants to advance as Postgraduate Teachers.
