TSRTC Revises Bus Routes for KBR Park One-Way

Four workers had slept in the shop overnight. While three managed to escape, Muzamil was unable to get out.

Hyderabad: With a one-way traffic system being introduced around KBR Park, the TSRTC rejigged its services saying the process would ensure that passengers did not face inconvenience. The buses affected include those on Route No. 127K (Kondapur–Koti), No. 222A (Patancheru–Koti), No. 47L (Manikonda–Secunderabad/JBS) and No. 10H (Kondapur–Secunderabad). The corporation appealed to passengers travelling towards Jubilee Hills, Film Nagar, Banjara Hills, Road No. 45 and surrounding areas to take note of the revised bus routes and stops while planning their journeys. The RTC said appropriate arrangements had been made to operate additional bus services based on passenger volume.

Three get life term for 2010 murder

Judge Manda Venkateshwara Rao of the III Additional District and Sessions Court, Medchal‑Malkajgiri at Kukatpally, on Tuesday sentenced three persons to life imprisonment for murdering a 45‑year‑old man over a financial dispute in 2010. The convicts were identified as Bonala Nagachary, 47, of Badichowdi; Yengannagari Venkata Chary, 48, of Medak; and Prabir Mandal alias Praveen, 48, of West Bengal.

Cyberabad police said the victim, Mohan Naidu of Snehapuri Colony, Borabanda, went missing from KPHB Colony on December 14, 2010. Investigation revealed the accused planned his murder over a dispute involving ₹20,000. They lured him to a room at Gokul Plots on the pretext of consuming liquor, where Nagachary shot him in the head.

The accused removed his jewellery and mobile phone, packed the body in a gunny bag and buried it in a forest near Chegunta, Medak district. His belongings were disposed of in Hasmathpet tank. Nagachary and Venkata Chary were arrested on September 2, 2011, while attempting to flee, and a country‑made pistol with live ammunition was recovered. Mandal was arrested on December 13, 2011.

Carpenter murdered in Bandlaguda brawl

A 21‑year‑old carpenter was brutally murdered by his friends during a drunken brawl in Bandlaguda late Monday night. The deceased, Aniket Kumar, entered into a heated argument with co‑workers Rahul and Rohit near a wine shop in Labour Camp, Bhavani Nagar, Bandlaguda. At 11.13 pm, Rahul attacked him from behind with an iron rod on his left shoulder, while Rohit also assaulted him. Due to internal head injuries, Aniket died on the spot, Rajendranagar police said.

Aniket, a native of Bihar, had come to Hyderabad three years ago with his brother Vijay Kumar, also a carpenter. Based on Vijay’s complaint, police registered a case of murder against Rahul and Rohit and detained them, though their arrest has not yet been officially disclosed. After post‑mortem at OGH, the body was handed over to Vijay for last rites on Tuesday.

Worker killed in Sircilla fire

A man was burnt to death in a fire accident at a furniture shop in Peddur on the outskirts of Sircilla town on Tuesday. Police said the blaze broke out in Mahalakshmi Furniture Shop on the Karimnagar–Kamareddy road in the morning, reportedly due to a short circuit. Worker Mohammed Muzamil, 21, from Uttar Pradesh, was trapped inside and died in the flames.

Local residents alerted the fire service, which battled the flames for three hours. Fire tenders from Sircilla and Vemulawada were deployed. Sircilla DSP K. Nagendra Chary visited the spot and enquired into the incident. Police registered a case and began an investigation. Property worth about Rs 50 lakh was gutted in the blaze.
