Hyderabad:An Adavasi woman has lodged a complaint with Panjagutta police against a man for sexually exploiting and cheating her after promising marriage. The victim stated that she had come to the city three years back and was working at a domestic help at a house in Somajiguda.
She came in contact the accused who professed love and sexually abused her, police said. The man then entered into a relationship with another woman and blocked all contact with the victim, police said adding that they had taken the accused for questioning.
Peddler, several consumers held
Hyderabad:The Cyberabad SOT police arrested a drug peddler and several consumers in two separate cases, one involving regular supply of narcotics in the IT corridor and the other linked to New Year celebrations, officials said.
In the first case, registered at the Raidurgam police station, police seized 17 kg of ganja and 3 grams of MDMA and arrested six persons, including a peddler, following a tip-off in the Manikonda-Raidurgam area.
The prime accused, identified as Sohail, hails from Nanded in Maharashtra. Five consumers would contact the peddler directly.
In a another case linked to New Year celebrations, police arrested a 21-year-old engineering student, Vincent, and seized six grams of MDMA. The arrest was made within the RGI Airport police station limits by Madhapur SOT.
